Even though the holidays are over, Pennsylvania casinos are handing out cars, free play and other gifts in the hopes of attracting gamblers.
New cars, a $20,000 vacation and ever-popular cash are on the list, along with a $150 buy-in poker tournament boasting a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and giveaways targeting table-game players.

Crack the Safe sweepstakes
A top prize of $10,000 is available to players who earn a code that opens a casino safe on Jan.12. XClub members earn entries based on slot play from Jan. 6 through 7:59 p.m. Jan. 12. Every $20 played through gets one entry. Players get one code, plus $20 in slot free play, for every 200 entries, with a maximum of eight per player. Participants must pick up their codes between 1 and 8 p.m. in the Parx’s main lobby. Those who receive a winning code will select one of 10 safes containing a prize of free play or cash. Sands Bethlehem is giving away a 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir and four prizes of $1,000 in free slot play in a drawing at 7 p.m. Jan. 27. A prize pool of $100,000 is guaranteed in this two-day, $150 buy-in tournament starting Jan. 13 at SugarHouse. Two starting flights are scheduled daily through Jan. 18, with Day 2 set for Jan. 19. Registration, late entry, and unlimited re-entry are available until the start of Level 11. All late entries and re-entries will receive a full stack of 20,000 tournament chips. A shot at $50,000 cash and scores of prizes of at least $200 in free slot play will be given away each Saturday in January and February. Rush Rewards members earn entries starting Jan. 1, with every 25 points generating one entry. Drawings at 2 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 5, Jan. 12, Jan. 19, and Jan. 26 and Feb. 2, Feb. 9, Feb. 16, and Feb. 23 will each award 10 prizes of at least $200 in free slot play. Also, each winner also gets to play Rivers Ringo for a chance to win up to $5,000 cash and is entered in the March 2 finale drawing, which will have a top prize of $50,000 cash.
On March 2, Rivers will hold wild-card drawings at 2 and 8 p.m. Winners receive 10 prizes of $200 in free slot play plus automatic entry in the finale. The finale will follow the 8 p.m. drawing. Ten of the finale entrants will be chosen for a chance at the $50,000 prize. If none of them wins the $50,000, the 10 winners split the amount.
Winter Wheel of Cash
Table-game players who win side bets or progressives on qualifying games can enter drawings awarding up to $2,000 cash on Fridays and Saturdays in January and February. Entries are based on play from Dec. 29 through 8:50 p.m. Feb. 23. Drawings will be at 9 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, with five winners called at each. The entry drum will be emptied after each week’s drawings.
