Boo-yah! PA Casinos Unmask Big Treats With October Promos

Big money is the big treat in throughout Pennsylvania casinos this month:

  • Two $1 million giveaways at Wind Creek, where new owners wrap up the official grand opening of the renamed casino
  • A lottery ticket giveaway with a potential prize of $1 million at Mount Airy
  • A World Poker Tour stop at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, with a guaranteed Main Event prize pool of $300,000 and a guaranteed opening event prize pool of $100,000

Free play for touchdowns

Caesars Rewards members can get $7 in slot free play for each touchdown the Philadelphia Eagles score in a regular-season NFL game.

To be eligible, players must opt-in at a Harrah’s Philadelphia casino kiosk between two hours before game-time and kickoff. Free play for first-half touchdowns will be awarded automatically at halftime; free play for second-half touchdowns will be awarded after the game. The free play will expire if it is not used within 72 hours of being deposited.

Double points for table play

Each Sunday and Monday in October, Caesars Rewards members will get 2X points for table game play. To participate, swipe your card at a promotional kiosk between 6 a.m. and 5:59 a.m. The multiplier is based on play during a single gaming day; bonus points don’t count toward tier score or Return Rewards. Players may claim an award only once per promotional day.

$100,000 progressive drawing

Players can win free play or a chance at a $100,000 cash prize in a series of drawings at Hollywood Casino on Oct. 31.

MyChoice members get one drawing entry for every four points earned from slot or table-game play throughout the month. In drawings every half-hour from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31, five entrants will be chosen to play a game offering slot free play and a chance to participate in the final drawing. At 9 p.m., four club members will be randomly selected for the final drawing.

At 9:30 p.m., the 10 finalists will select a prize envelope from a barrel. One envelope contains the cash prize; others award slot free play.

Chevy Colorado giveaway

A Chevrolet Colorado pickup is the top prize in a monthlong series of drawings at The Meadows that also will give away thousands of dollars in slot free play.

Entries are based on play between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or 6 to 10 p.m. through Oct. 26. Table-game players get one entry for every hour of play; poker players get one entry for every two hours. Tickets must be printed by 11:59 p.m. on the day earned.

Attack of the 50-inch TVs

Presque Isle will give away 20 large-screen televisions every Friday in October. Three drawings will be conducted each hour from 5 to 9 p.m.:

$2 Million grand opening finales

More than $2 million in prizes will be awarded this month as the casino’s new owners, Wind Creek Hospitality, celebrate the change in operations.

$1 Million Blackjack Finale

Players can still qualify for a blackjack tournament offering a top prize of $500,000 cash.

Blackjack players who earn one table point (defined as play yielding $20 in theoretical casino win) by 8 p.m. Oct. 4 may enter the last set of weekly sit-and-go tournaments, scheduled for 3 to 10 p.m. Oct. 4. Tournament registration begins at 2 p.m. Oct. 4.

The weekly preliminary tournament offers a top prize of $20,000 cash, with second getting $10,000 cash.
