The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported another US iGaming record for the Keystone State. Operators produced $252.2 million in gross revenue in November.

Pennsylvania online casinos continue to set new bars for the country. It’s the second straight month the state has set a new US earnings record in a single month.

Pennsylvania online casino revenue is up 2.9% month-over-month and a whopping 31.4% year-over-year. The fall months are operators’ time to shine, which gets an added boost because of the sports calendar. There’s no reason to believe why December won’t be a record-breaking month, either.

Breakdown of online casino November 2024 PA revenue

  • Online slots revenue: $200,341,623
  • Table games revenue: $49,558,109
  • Online poker revenue: $2,275,423

Quick analysis from November PA iGaming figures

Slots reach $200 million in single month for the first time

Because of the impressive overall total for November, slots achieved $200 million, alone, in revenue for the very first time in the state. The previous high came last month when iGaming platforms generated $197 million.

Slots have been operators’ main source of revenue since launching back in 2019. Multiple gambling companies offer at least 1,000 different slots for players, which include well-known TV shows and movies.

Despite the new record for slots, it accounted for 79.4% of revenue in November, which is a dip for the previous two months. In September and October, slots made up at least 80% of online casino revenue.

The slight dip is certainly not a cause for concern, by any means. In fact, it’s normal for slot play to decrease slightly during the football season. Predominant sports bettors usually cross over and prefer blackjack, which involves more decision-making.

Operators are going to eclipse $2 billion in slots alone by the end of 2024.

Valley Forge license almost crosses $70 million

Valley Forge is partners with FanDuel Casino Pennsylvania and Stardust. It produced an all-time high of $69.5 million in revenue last month.

It’s likely that FanDuel makes the majority of the revenue for the Valley Forge license. Considering that, it finished around $22 million behind Hollywood Penn National, which boasts operators such as DraftKings, BetMGM, Hollywood and Fanatics.

Since the PGCB doesn’t break down revenue by operators, it’s difficult to see exactly how each platform contributes. However, it’s clear that FanDuel has a foothold on the market.

Table games reach $500 million in 2024

Table games do not generate nearly as much as slots, however, operators wouldn’t be in the same position without them, which has produced $503.3 million this year.

The vertical has evolved over the years, mostly because of live dealer games. Back in FY 2022/2023, the PGCB announced that live dealer games accounted for more than 50% of online table games revenue.

That is not surprising, given the expansion of the vertical. While blackjack is considered to be the most popular offering, online casinos supply game shows such as Lightning Roulette, Football Studio and Crazy Coin Flip. Those games certainly up the ante for players.

Every aspect of the industry has evolved in some way. While slots get most of the attention, live dealer games has been a welcome addition to the market, too.
