After some reluctance early on, the NFL has decided to go all-in on the legal gambling industry. And Pennsylvania retail casinos embraced the NFL, too, with Valley Forge Casino supplying NFL-themed slots to customers last week.
Valley Forge Casino is hoping that the popularity of NFL slot machines will help in the revenue department.
Valley Forge Pennsylvania casino adds popular NFL-themed slots
Before the NFL season started, PlayPennsylvania reported that some Pennsylvania casinos were adding NFL-themed slots to their repertoire of games. Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Pittsburgh provided these games, along with Live! Casino Pittsburgh.
Valley Forge Casino announced that it just added NFL Super Bowl Jackpots slots to its gaming floor last week. Former Eagles wide receiver, Freddie Mitchell, participated in the game’s first slot-pull and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Aristocrat Gaming is the developer of the NFL slot machines. The title allows players to pick and play with their favorite team. Since the Valley Forge Casino is located in the King of Prussia area, which is considered Greater Philadelphia, many players are picking the Eagles.
Ron Bailey, Valley Forge Vice President and General Manager, told PlayPennsylvania:
“The brand-new professional-football-themed slot machines just launched this week at Valley Forge Casino Resort and they’ve already scored big with our guests. We anticipate it being one of the hottest seats in the casino for the rest of the football season and beyond.”
The games came just in time for Valley Forge Casino. The Greater Philadelphia area is considered one of the best sports towns in the country and is absolutely football-crazed.
After the Eagles’ big victory against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football to improve to a league-best 9-1, the energy in the city is buzzing.
As Bailey put it, Valley Forge Casino doesn’t intend on those slot machines sitting idle for too long.

Valley Forge Casino hoping NFL PA slots boost revenue
The NFL is the most popular sport in the country, with the biggest and most loyal following by far. The new NFL PA slots are expected to be a big hit among players at the Pennsylvania casino.
Adding NFL slots gives Valley Forge the entire second half of the football season to see how well they perform. It may have been a good idea to wait until the halfway point of the NFL season. As the playoffs approach, the fan excitement usually gets turned up a notch, especially with the Eagles expected to make another Super Bowl run.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) released gambling revenue last week. Valley Forge Casino finished just outside the top ten in October slot revenue, generating $7.8 million. This came down from the $8.6 million it recorded in September.
It’ll be interesting to see the effect NFL slots have on the rest of the season. The facility will have two-plus months of football remaining. Here’s how Valley Forge’s slot revenue fared from December-February during the last fiscal year:
- December 2022: $8.5 million
- January 2023: $8.3 million
- February 2023: $8.1 million
Valley Forge’s best month occurred in March, when it produced $9.9 million in slot revenue. Perhaps with NFL slots, Valley Forge can cross the $9 million threshold more often than not.
