Live dealer games are continuing to grow in Pennsylvania. So much so, another gaming developer is opening a state-of-the-art live dealer studio in the Keystone State.

Playtech, a technology company delivering products and services in the gaming industry, is using its newly opened studio to supply live dealer games for Pennsylvania online casino players.

Playtech entering Pennsylvania in the live dealer space could potentially set up fierce competition with Evolution Gaming.

Pennsylvania live dealer games expanding with Playtech opening new studio

PA online casinos have the opportunity to deliver even more live dealer content now that Playtech has entered the market.

Playtech soft-launched the live studio earlier this week, but expects it to be operational 24/7 soon. According to a press release emailed to PlayPennsylvania, Playtech is offering VIP blackjack and roulette games, with plans to further expand game offerings.

Edo Haitin, Playtech Live CEO, said in the release:

“I am very proud of this significant achievement for Playtech Live as we open our Pennsylvania Live Studio. This achievement is a testament to the outstanding dedication and expertise of our team, as well as our commitment to delivering exceptional Live Casino experiences to players worldwide. We are thrilled to complete the tri-state iGaming expansion and conquer yet another key territory. The launch of our state-of-the-art studio represents an exciting new chapter in our growth, showcasing our commitment to driving innovation within the industry with our dedicated focus on crafting customised gameplay experiences for the American market. We remain committed to delivering players of Pennsylvania an extraordinary online gaming experience.”

Playtech announced its first two live dealer studios in Michigan and New Jersey in December 2021. Pennsylvania is the third market Playtech has entered for live dealer games.

Types of games Playtech can offer PA online casino players

Playtech’s press release said that the company is to initially offer blackjack and roulette options to Pennsylvania online casino players. According to Playtech’s website, there are several more live dealer games the provider can supply, including variations. Some of them include:

  • Prestige Roulette Lite
  • Speed Roulette
  • Baccarat 7 Seat
  • Baccarat Squeeze
  • VIP Baccarat
  • Mini Baccarat
  • Ultimate Blackjack
  • Casino Hold’em

Playtech enters a market where Evolution Gaming has powered live dealer games in Pennsylvania since April 2021. It offers live dealer games for two of the more well-known operators in the Keystone State:

It, too, provides variations of blackjack and roulette, and has experimented with the launch of game shows as of late.

The only known operator Playtech is partnered with in Pennsylvania is betPARX, inking the deal in March 2022. In addition to producing live dealer games, Playtech provides technology and software for operators seeking to improve a player’s experience, such as signing up, depositing money and cashing out faster.

Playtech adding a live dealer studio could be a big addition to the state. It could also mean more direct competition for Evolution. Either way, Pennsylvania players benefit from another gaming provider entering the market.
