A popular land-based slot is shifting gears to Pennsylvania online casinos soon. BetMGM PA Casino announced the release of Buffalo, a distinguished slot game. Buffalo can be found in many retail casinos across the state.
Though BetMGM may have yielded its No. 1 online spot to DraftKings, it’s still a top-three operator in the gaming industry. BetMGM is always keeping its catalog of games fresh for players.
Buffalo slot coming to BetMGM PA online casino soon
New Jersey is off to a head start when it comes to BetMGM’s online Buffalo slot. BetMGM announced that the new title is live in the Garden State.
It plans to launch the game in Pennsylvania and Michigan “in the near future,” according to the press release.
The Buffalo slot is manufactured by Aristocrat and has been a renowned game for retail casino goers for more than a decade. Buffalo is a 20-line, 5×4 slot game where players aim to win by filling the screen with Buffalo symbols.
BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer, Matt Prevost, said in a statement:
“BetMGM is honored to be the first online destination for Buffalo. We are ready to bring the thrill and excitement of Buffalo to our players in New Jersey and additional states this fall. Anaxi captured the fast-paced elements of Buffalo which players love and are now able to experience in the palm of their hands.”
Anaxi, which is Aristocrat’s online gaming division, formed a partnership with BetMGM in February 2023. This is the first game the sides have launched together during the partnership. It doesn’t appear to be the last, either.
Anaxi Chief Operating Officer, Cath Burns, said:
“The stampede has officially begun, and we’re thrilled that BetMGM players can now enjoy the iconic Buffalo game online.”
BetMGM adds new games to Pennsylvania casino
Adding a well-known slot such as Buffalo should help BetMGM in the online casino race. The operator reported a slight loss in online casino gross gaming revenue (GGR) during Q2 earnings calls. DraftKings has taken over the top spot within the US.
The one thing BetMGM has going for it is its constant innovation. The company is always releasing new games to players. Earlier this year, BetMGM debuted a Buffalo Wild Wings slot to those in PA.
It also has sports-themed slots featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets and Detroit Lions. BetMGM provides a Philadelphia 76ers-themed roulette blackjack, as well.
BetMGM’s VP of Gaming, Angus Nisbet, said earlier this year that BetMGM takes pride in producing games in-house. A lot of the operator’s most popular games are BetMGM-branded.
BetMGM is going to need to rely heavily on innovation in order to recapture the top spot in online casino GGR. This is a great start.
