Whitney Houston slot machines. Mohegan Pennsylvania is debuting Whitney Houston-themed slots next month. The machines are expected to be a massive hit amongst customers.

Mohegan Pennsylvania has announced a brand new addition to its gaming floor that is expected to be a huge success. The Wilkes-Barre, PA casino told PlayPennsylvania last week it will offer Whitney Houston-themed slots in the near future.

“Mohegan Pennsylvania is excited to soon launch the popular new Whitney Houston Slots,” a spokesperson told us. “These new slots are planned to go live by early September.”

These slots, manufactured by International Game Technology, feature a state-of-the-art gambling experience for Mohegan Pennsylvania players. Hard Rock Casino made the slot available earlier this summer in nearby Atlantic City.

Whitney Houston slots are “cutting-edge”

The new Whitney Houston slots are going to take center stage at Mohegan Pennsylvania when it debuts the title next month. In a circular pod of four slots, photos and videos of Houston will be playing on the screen during game play.

In addition, the slot comes with a progressive jackpot of more than $500,000. Some of the game features include:

  • Hold & Spin bonus
  • Wheel bonus
  • Mini progressive jackpots
  • Free games

Some of Houston’s most memorable hits are featured in the game, including “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and “So Emotional.”

To enter into the Hold & Spin bonus feature, players need to trigger six platinum records, in which additional interfaces are unlocked allowing more records to be compiled. The player collects all of the money accumulated after running out of bonus spins.

The new game has already been introduced at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and has been described as a “cutting-edge experience” by the company.

Atlantic City casino already employed Whitney Houston slots

Those in the Southeastern Pennsylvania have the chance to play Whitney Houston slots now with a short drive over to the Hard Rock. The Atlantic City casino debuted the machines in June.

Hard Rock’s slots are presented slightly differently, with four slots next to each other, instead of a circular pod. Regardless, the experience is experience is expected to be the same at Mohegan Pennsylvania.

IGT’s COO of Gaming, Nick Khin, hinted back in June during Hard Rock’s premiere of these slots becoming nationwide:

“IGT is thrilled to bring the new star-studded Whitney Houston Slots game to casino floors across the U.S. Whitney Houston slots exemplifies IGT’s winning formula for licensed game themes: a world-class entertainment experience combined with a precise alignment of the licensed theme fan base and the slot player demographic.”

PA online casinos have been much more creative in slot offerings consisting of hit TV shows and movies. But, retail casinos are starting to widen its variety, which Mohegan Pennsylvania is now benefitting from. For example, Valley Forge Casino launched the first-of-its-kind NFL-themed slots last year, in an attempt to drum up even more excitement during football season.
Expect Pennsylvania casinos to continue to expand their creative offerings.
