Technical difficulties delayed last drawing
TV viewers who typically tune in for the live Mega Millions drawings were disappointed nationwide when the Friday, Sept. 3 drawing was delayed due to technical difficulties.

“Due to technical difficulties, tonight’s drawing has been temporarily halted. Once the malfunction is corrected, the drawing will continue under supervision of the auditor.”
Overall, the delay took about an hour and results were finally released around 12:15 am ET. There is no explanation yet as to what technical difficulties the Mega Millions faced. However, one Match 5 with Megaplier ticket in Texas resulted in a hefty payday worth $2 million.
