Mega Millions gets the week rolling with a $45 million jackpot up for grabs tonight, Oct. 25. Jackpot winners always have the option to take the cash value of the prize in a single payment. The lump sum cash value of tonight’s prize is $21.4 million, before withholding.
Just over a week has passed since two players hit the last big jackpot on Oct. 14. It took 22 drawings in a row before the lucky players finally nabbed the $502 million prize. Five other players have hit separate Mega Millions jackpots so far this year, with the grand prizes ranging from $20 million to $1.337 billion!
The $20 million prize was hit in the very next drawing, after another player earned a $110 million prize on April 12, showing that the jackpot really can be hit at any time.
