Mega Millions is making a splash again, with a couple big winners in the previous drawing, and another mega jackpot up for grabs tonight. For Oct. 11, the jackpot prize is estimated at $445 million. A potential winner could choose to take the cash value of the prize, which comes to $226 million tonight, before withholding.
A lucky player in California was one number away from hitting the jackpot on Friday, which was close enough to win $2 million with the Megaplier ticket option. That player’s ticket matched all five of the white balls drawn, but not the yellow Mega Ball. In Texas, another ticket matched those numbers without the Megaplier to win $1 million.

The PA Lottery’s Cash 5 drawing awards another jackpot winner
In Pennsylvania, the Cash 5 With Quick Cash drawing on Friday produced a single winner of the $250,000 jackpot. Those winning numbers were 6-7-19-20-23, hit by a ticket sold at Rutter’s on North Main St. in Spring Grove, York County. The retailer earned a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Just days before, on Oct. 4, the Cash 5 jackpot had reached over $1 million when two tickets hit the prize. Those winners, from Philadelphia and Montgomery counties, will split the prize and receive $541,349 each, less withholding.
The winning tickets were sold by Hatfield Market, 304 Union St., Hatfield, Montgomery County, and ACME Markets, 8200 Roosevelt Blvd., Philadelphia. Those retailers get $5,000 bonuses for selling the winning tickets.
