Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing awarded millions in prizes
With more and more players trying for the jackpot, there have been more winners of lower-tier prizes than usual. In the previous drawing on Tuesday, nine players across the US hit the second-tier prize by matching all five of the white balls drawn. The winning tickets were sold in California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey (2), New York (2), and Ohio.
That tier wins players a prize of $1 million. An additional ticket sold in OH hit the same win, but with the Megaplier option, that ticket is worth $3 million.
There are nine prize tiers on Mega Millions, with prizes ranging from $2, to over $1 million. If you have a winning ticket for any amount, the PA Lottery reminds you to sign the back of your ticket. Without your signature, someone else could claim the prize if they come up with your misplaced ticket.
For tickets purchased online through the PA iLottery site, players are notified by email if they win a prize. Make sure you have access to the email address you used to sign up for the PA online lottery. Prizes won via online tickets can be claimed online.
