It’s finally Friday, and we’re starting the weekend by following tonight’s Mega Millions drawing. In the two weeks since the last big win, the jackpot has reached $65 million for Aug. 12. The lump sum cash value for tonight’s prize is $37.9 million before withholding.
Mega Millions has been the hot game recently, and in the last drawing three tickets in different states hit the second-tier prize of $1 million. Tickets sold in Georgia, New York, and Virginia matched the first five white balls, missing only the gold Mega Ball.

There’s a record-setting jackpot drawing tonight for PA Lottery players
Yesterday’s $2.5 million Cash 5 With Quick Cash jackpot broke the record for that game’s largest prize ever offered. The drawing yesterday concluded with no big winner. Tonight, the jackpot prize is even higher, as $3 million is the new top prize and new Cash 5 jackpot record.
The previous jackpot record was set in Columbia County, when it was hit at $2.4 million on March 8, 2019.
Cash 5 With Quick Cash is the PA Lottery’s longest running draw game. It was launched as Cash 5 in 1992. In 1998, the game switched from a weekly drawing schedule to daily, offering players more chances to win.
