As the Phillies embark on a west coast trip, the Phillie Phanatic and other special guests are heading to Ocean City, New Jersey to celebrate “Phillies Day at Manco & Manco” on June 14.
Guests in Ocean City will be able to meet past Phillies greats and take home prizes throughout the event.
Manco & Manco Pizza is one of the Phillies’ top concessions at Citizens Bank Park.
While fans enjoy Phillies Day in Ocean City, the team has several attractive promotions scheduled throughout the rest of the season.
Celebrate Phillies Day at Manco & Manco Pizza
Phillies Day fun takes place on Wednesday, June 14, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. right at its location on 9th Street and the boardwalk.
Fans can enjoy Manco & Manco Pizza while meeting 1993 National League champions John Kruk and Milt Thompson. Kruk is also part of the broadcast team with Tom McCarthy, Ben Davis and Ruben Amaro, Jr.
Thompson and Kruk are also signing autographs and taking photos with fans.
The Phillies Ballgirls will be on-hand to distribute Phillies prizes throughout the event.
And, of course, the main event, the Phillie Phanatic. The Phanatic plans to make his appearance at 6:30 p.m. on the boardwalk. The famous icon is trading in his Phillies cap for a chef cap. The best mascot in sports will attempt to cook the popular pizza in front of fans.

Popularity of Manco & Manco at Citizens Bank Park
Manco & Manco is relatively new to Citizens Bank Park, debuting a vendor stand in Ashburn Alley in 2022.
With reports of Manco & Manco having the longest line of any vendor at the ballpark, PlayPennsylvania decided to check it out. While the line appeared long when I went last season, it moved quickly. One fan I spoke to raved about the pizza:
“In Ocean City, it’s like an institution down there. I remember when it was Mac & Mancos and now it’s Manco & Manco, but it’s still the same quality. I would 1,000% recommend it to anybody.”
Manco & Manco has three locations in Ocean City and one in Somers Point, NJ. Operating in Citizens Bank Park is the company’s first-ever setup in Pennsylvania.
The vendor became so popular in Ashburn Alley, the Phillies and Manco & Manco added three more locations in the ballpark this season:
- Pass and Stow
- Miller Lite Liberty Landing
- Section 137
Since having the pizza a few more times following my review from last year, it has grown on me. I gave it a higher rating after trying it among the new food options for this season.
Upcoming promotions at Phillies games
While the Phillies are on the road this week, it gives fans time to plan when to attend their next Phillies game. The Phillies offer some of the best promotions in baseball and several great events are in place for this summer.
The Phillies have two fireworks nights, on June 30 and July 14, and are hosting a postgame concert on July 1 with a performance by Diesel, aka Shaquille O’Neal.
Although there are no more dollar dog nights, there are plenty of promotions for children and fans of all ages to close out the 2023 season.
