FanDuel is the most popular sportsbook in Pennsylvania and proved itself once again last month. After January’s handle and revenue totals, FanDuel has eclipsed some monumental figures within the Keystone State. The operator has generated a lifetime handle of $10 billion and revenue of $1 billion.

FanDuel Sportsbook PA is lightyears ahead of the next best option in the state in DraftKings.

FanDuel crosses major landmark totals in Keystone State market

PA online sportsbooks had a strong January, generating $858 million in total bets for the Keystone State. A hold percentage of 11.4% helped sportsbooks take in $97.7 million in revenue, too.

FanDuel is the clear market leader in Pennsylvania. It produced $373 million in handle and $55 million in revenue last month. Those totals brought the operator to lifetime marks of $10.35 billion in total bets and $1.01 billion in revenue. FanDuel is the first sportsbook to reach those milestones.

The operator has put a considerable amount of distance between itself and the next competitor. DraftKings Sportsbook PA has amassed lifetime totals of $6.68 billion in handle and $457.9 million in revenue.

Barstool Sportsbook, which no longer exists after a split with PENN Entertainment, generated the third-most handle with $1.97 billion.

FanDuel commands nearly 42% of the lifetime market share, which lines up with the 43.4% of the market share it generated last month.

The operator is clearly a step ahead of everyone else in the Keystone State.

FanDuel is the most recognizable Keystone State sports betting app

It’s not surprising that the most successful operator in Pennsylvania is also the most recognizable. In a study conducted by Betting Hero, a customer research company, bettors rated FanDuel as the top and most identifiable app on the market.

When asked what sportsbook came to mind when thinking of the industry, 82% of the respondents named FanDuel, with 56% naming it first. Here are the results for other operators:

  • 79% named DraftKings as a sportsbook app that came to mind; 31% named it first
  • 31% named BetMGM Sportsbook PA as a sportsbook app that came to mind; 5% named it first
  • 28% named Barstool (at the time) as a sportsbook app that came to mind; 3% named it first
  • 6% named Caesars Sportsbook PA as an app that came to mind; 0% named it first

It’s scary to think that FanDuel is actually growing its gaming reputation. While the sportsbook remains incredibly strong, FanDuel Casino PA is making serious strides, too.

In partnership with Valley Forge Casino, the operator produced $52.6 million in January revenue, an all-time high. It was recently named as the No. 2 online casino operator behind DraftKings Casino PA.

FanDuel is becoming the most well-rounded and powerful operator in not only Pennsylvania, but the entire US market.
