BettorView reinventing the sports viewing and betting experience

KonekTV, which we wrote about at PlayPennsylvania back in February, is now rebranded as BettorView Live.

A key component to the rebranding is a new partnership with Edison Interactive.

Edison is a software provider that builds solutions for what is known as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital-out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising.

BettorView aims to improve sports viewing, partnered with Hooters

BettorView improves venue experiences. The service aims to reframe the viewing experience.

The change means providing customers and the company’s venue partners with a better vantage point.

The streaming information service plays on TVs at the Hooters of America restaurant chain in three states, including Pennsylvania. It is also available at Hooters locations in New Jersey and Indiana, and all states where BetRivers.com operates online sportsbooks.

The goal is to increase fan engagement via virtual watch parties with stats, betting odds, and other sports-centric infotainment.

Ties to the Philly region

The company that launched with a $3.1 million startup bankroll comes from the Sixers Innovation Lab. The lab is a business incubator that the NBA team houses at its corporate office in Camden, New Jersey, next to the Philadelphia 76ers practice facility across Philly’s Delaware River.

The company believes BettorView can create and optimize new revenue streams for its iGaming and food delivery partners. Those include Hooters, Bowlero, DraftKings and William Hill. They are now in 1,000 venues across the country.

According to Seth Schorr, co-founder of BettorView:

“The company has been powering a transformation in sports engagement through our partnerships. Our mission is rooted in creating innovative and exciting ways for fans to engage with their favorite sports, teams and leagues, no matter where they are watching games. Our joint venture with Edison Interactive — who are market disruptors in the development of video conference, IoT and DOOH digital solutions, allows us to bring BettorView Live as a winning solution for sports leagues, teams, fans and sportsbook operators.”

Jeremy Ostermiller, CEO and co-founder, Edison Interactive, explained:

“Both companies have a wealth of experience and knowledge in addition to delivering forward-thinking technology solutions in the sports industry. I have no doubt that together, we have created a solution that is instrumental for the future of sports.”

BettorView benefits

The companies believe the service:

  • Maximizes the in-home experience, allowing sports fans to cheer along with fellow fans while gaining access to both must-have stats and access to food delivery.
  • Connects with fans.
  • Educates and gamifies by providing stats, analytics and odds in a variety of forms, and also educates fans on fantasy sports and betting and allows sportsbook operators to raise awareness and educate fans about sports betting.

Javier Vargas, COO of BettorView, believes the service allows a sportsbook to “digitally congregate its user base and promote in-game betting via hypertargeted calls to action in a way that does not currently exist.”

The next phase of the product will involve integrating into partners’ apps and allow for livestreaming of professional sports games.
