Jalen Hurts has been the talk of the football world right now. Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles had high expectations for this season, but a 3-0 start after throttling the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Commanders is a start no one saw coming.

Pennsylvania sportsbooks are starting to take notice of the Eagles and Hurts’ play.

The Eagles are among the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl and the favorite to win the NFC Championship. Hurts is one of the biggest reasons why as his NFL MVP odds have skyrocketed since the start of the season.

Coming into his second year as the full-time starter, a lot of fans and experts expected Hurts to improve. The Eagles’ front office wasn’t exactly sold on Hurts either as reports swirled that the Eagles were eyeing a quarterback during the offseason.

Hurts came into the season on FanDuel PA sportsbook at +2500 to win NFL MVP, tied with Trey Lance and Derek Carr.

Caesars sportsbook in PA had Hurts listed at +5000 last April and jumped to +3000 when the Eagles traded for star receiver A.J. Brown.

In May, DraftKings Sportsbook had the most faith in Hurts with odds of +1800 to win NFL MVP.

After lighting up the stat sheet and leading the Eagles to a 3-0 start, PA sportsbooks have adjusted Hurts’ MVP odds in a great way.

Hurts currently has the second-best odds (+600) to win the NFL MVP at DraftKings. He is also listed at +600 at FanDuel with the third-best odds behind Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

According to Kevin Hennessey, publicist at FanDuel, Hurts received 6% of the handle and 7% of the bets to win MVP when the season started. Hennessey said that Hurts received 41% of the bets and 42% of the handle after his Week 3 performance. Only Lamar Jackson received more action in both categories.
