Rivers Casino Philadelphia is adding a luxury hotel experience to its property before the end of the year. The casino announced the grand opening for Riversuites, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia is now one of multiple facilities within the state that offers hotel accommodations for guests. Located along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, Riversuites provides unique and scenic views of the city.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia to debut Riversuites hotel on Wednesday
Guests have been able to stay at the brand-new Riversuites since Dec. 14. However, Rivers Casino Philadelphia is celebrating the opening of the hotel on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia went for quality over quantity when designing the establishment. There are only 62 Riversuites available, located inside The Battery, the mixed-use campus on Beach Street in Fishtown.
The rooms average 854 square feet each, with even larger options available up to 2,266 square feet. One, two and three-bedroom accommodations are available, which also come with a full kitchen and patio. Hotel visitors will also have an unobstructed view of the Delaware River, with the New Jersey shorelines and Ben Franklin Bridge in sight, as well.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia always had plans of building a hotel. Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming, said back in July in a press release emailed to PlayPennsylvania:
“A hotel addition for Rivers Casino Philadelphia has always been part of the master plan for our Fishtown property. The location and grandeur of The Battery allowed us to join a neighboring parcel, already in progress, with historic Philly significance.”
The addition of a hotel, and a luxury one at that, makes Rivers Casino Philadelphia an even more desirable gaming option for guests.
Other Pennsylvania casinos featuring hotels
Rivers now has overnight accommodations for both of its locations in Pennsylvania. The Landing Hotel, which opened at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh in the fall of 2022, has 219 rooms and is located steps away from Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park in downtown Pittsburgh.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia is going to have competition with facilities in the Greater Philadelphia area. Parx Casino Bensalem is in the process of opening a 300-room luxury hotel with the following amenities:
- Convention center to host conferences and weddings
- Two restaurants (one on the rooftop)
- Coffee shop
- Spa
- Fitness center
Live! Casino Philadelphia and Valley Forge Casino both have hotels at their properties, too.
