The Harrah’s Philadelphia online casino licensee is starting to make waves in the Keystone State. The retail casino, which is partnered with Caesars and Tropicana, produced nearly $10 million in online casino revenue last month. This performance came off an all-time high in December, when it generated $10.1 million.

Harrah’s Philadelphia is separating itself from other licensees in the state. It’s now clearly the fourth-best PA online casino provider, in terms of revenue.

Caesars and Tropicana becoming top options in Keystone State online casino market

Harrah’s Philadelphia started the new year with a bang, producing the best month it ever had. Caesars Casino PA and Tropicana Casino PA make up the Harrah’s Philadelphia licenses. Together, they generated $9.8 million in revenue last month.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) does not break down revenue by operator, so it’s hard to see exactly each operator’s contribution. However, the improvement in the licensee has been noticeable.

In January 2023, Harrah’s Philadelphia recorded just $4.6 million in revenue. In the months following, especially after launching Tropicana in April 2023, the licensee has been ascending.

Harrah’s Philadelphia saw upticks in May and June revenue, totaling $6.2 million and $6.8 million, respectively.

The real growth started in September, when the license hit $7.5 million for the first time ever. It’s been increasing since, with the following figures:

  • October: $8.3 million
  • November: $8.2 million
  • December: $10.2 million
  • January: $9.8 million

Over those four months, Harrah’s Philadelphia is averaging $9.1 million in monthly revenue. That number is setting a new standard for Caesars and Tropicana.

Harrah’s Philadelphia now ranked No. 4 in the Keystone State

In regards to revenue, the Pennsylvania online casino market has some power hitters in terms of operators. The PGCB does not limit the partnerships land-based casinos can have with online brands.

Hollywood Penn National has four partners, followed by Valley Forge Casino’s two and Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s three. Here’s how the revenue shook out in 2023:

Thanks to a strong push in Q4 2023, Harrah’s Philadelphia did finish fourth last year, posting $81.6 million. However, throughout most of the year, Harrah’s had been battling with betPARX Casino PA and PokerStars Casino PA for positioning.

Harrah’s Philadelphia has securely captured that fourth online casino spot for licensees in the Keystone State. Though it’ll be tough competing with the top three, Caesars and Tropicana are still acquiring a significant amount of market share.
