Lucky five Match 5 winners

Five appears to be a lucky number, at least for the previous drawing on Friday, Feb. 12. To recap, the winning numbers were 5 – 14 – 24 – 25 – 27 and a Mega Ball of 14. Additionally, the Mega Millions second-place prize is called a Match 5 for matching all five white balls.

Finally, there were five nationwide Match 5 $1 million winners from the following states:

  • California
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Texas
  • Virginia

The Megaplier was 3X but none of the Match 5 tickets added on the $1 option, which would have boosted the prize to $3 million.
