Pennsylvania SEPTA riders will treated to a pleasant surprise when they learn FanDuel is stepping in to pay for tolls on Dec. 18. It’s certainly a nice gesture coming from the operator during the holiday season.
The FanDuel Casino brand in Pennsylvania is sponsoring the action. It is considered one of the most popular Pennsylvania online casinos in the state, with tons of new games on its platform.
Free SEPTA ride details
FanDuel announced that it will cover the tolls for SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) customers riding the Broad Street [B] Line on Dec. 18 from 6 p.m. to midnight. The operator made it clear that a rider is not required to have an account for a free ride.
Daniele Phillips, Marketing Vice President, said in a statement emailed to PlayPennsylvania:
“This exciting FanDuel Casino opportunity represents a continued investment by FanDuel in its casino brand and the opportunity to engage new and existing customers with content and experiences that excite customers.
“As part of our ongoing brand campaign, we’re here to show people nothing beats the feeling of winning on FanDuel Casino. Though a lot of great feelings come close, like scoring a free ride or toll for the day.”
The operator is doing the same across the border in South Jersey, too. Free tolls and rides will be given out through the South Jersey Transportation Authority’s Atlantic City Expressway Pleasantville Toll Plaza and throughout the PATH system. Pleasantville Tolls will be off from 12:01 a.m. to midnight. PATH rides systemwide will be free from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Those taking the Broad Street line will be greeted by FanDuel covering toll charges for the trip. Some might already have accounts, while others might want to register for one.
FanDuel Casino is in the holiday spirit
FanDuel iGaming offers more than 1,000 slots alone. It also includes table games and live dealer titles. The operator is prepared for the holiday season, offering the following new, Christmas-themed slots:
- Big Catch Bass Fishing Christmas
- Visit From St. Nick
- Team Santa Power Combo
- Rich Little Piggies Meal Ticket: Christmas Edition
- Fire and Roses Jolly Joker
It’s clear FanDuel wants to carve out an ever bigger presence in Pennsylvania. Covering the toll rides to appeal to hard-working city employees is certainly a step in that direction.
