More clarity on one of the most anticipated launches in the gaming industry has surfaced. PointsBet users got an email on Jan. 16 stating that Fanatics is launching at some point next week.

Their offering will include both a Fanatics PA online casino and a Fanatics sportsbook in PA.

After acquiring PointsBet in May of last year, Fanatics is finally ready to debut in the Keystone State. Since PointsBet is set to discontinue, there will still be a total of 21 iGaming sites offered within the state.

Fanatics is expected to make an impact in both the online casino and sportsbook verticals in Pennsylvania.

Fanatics alerts launch of online gambling app in email to PointsBet users

Fanatics officials told PlayPennsylvania last month that the new operator planned to launch in the Keystone State early in 2024. That is finally becoming a reality.

PointsBet emailed users on Jan. 16, announcing that Fanatics is ready to enter the market officially. The note said:

“PointsBet is becoming Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino, and your account is moving with you next week.”

The email mentioned that there is no need for users to do anything yet, and that more information will be shared in the coming days. PointsBet did give users intel about their account, saying:

“Your account information, outstanding balance, any open bets, Rewards Points, and Bonus Bets will all automatically move to Fanatics Sportsbook. Any Free Spins you may have in your PointsBet Casino account will not be transferred.”

Be prepared for an announcement next week when Fanatics officially launches in the Keystone State.

What transitioning from PointsBet to Fanatics in PA could look like

Fanatics debuted its first branded casino in West Virginia in November and provided users with instructions on the migration process. Last month, PlayPennsylvania recapped the process for future PA users.

In West Virginia, when customers logged into their PointsBet account, they were instructed to download the Fanatics app. All customers’ usernames, passwords, account balances, rewards points and responsible gaming settings were automatically transferred onto the Fanatics platform.

It doesn’t appear to be a hard process, as PointsBet players will soon be able to reap the benefits of using Fanatics Sportsbook and online casino.

Fanatics has a promotional system for simply wagering on both the sportsbook and online casino. Bettors have the opportunity to earn FanCash, which can be redeemed through its website to buy team gear or use as bonus bets. For its Fanatics Sportsbook PA, here are the following ways to earn FanCash:

  • Straight bet: Up to 1% of the amount bet
  • Parlay bet: Up to 3% of the amount bet
  • Same game parlay: Up to 5% of the amount bet

The promotional system for the online casino is as follows:

  • Slots: 0.5% of wager
  • Table games: 0.13% of wager

Fanatics Casino will provide PA slots, table games and live dealer options for customers. It’s finalizing partnerships with several well-known game manufacturers to be able to deliver the most exciting content.

More information will be available after the new operator goes live next week.
