Evolution Gaming told PlayPennsylvania recently that it is releasing a video poker live dealer game next week on Pennsylvania iGaming platforms. It’ll be the first of its kind to appear on online gambling apps in the Keystone State.
In the process of the poker announcement, Evolution Gaming also dropped another live dealer game, Crazy Coin Flip, on Pennsylvania online casinos.
Evolution is the premier live dealer provider in Pennsylvania, and has launched several games since last year.
New live dealer games to be available on Keystone State online casinos
There has been competition in the live dealer space after Playtech opened a studio in Pennsylvania to provide games. However, Evolution Gaming has included new titles in its arsenal in order to stay ahead of the competition.
Pennsylvania players will have the luxury to start playing video poker games in the live dealer section on iGaming plaforms next week. An Evolution official told PlayPennsylvania that it is the first live dealer version of the game in the nation. It’s a recreation of the Video Poker terminal games from the 1980s.
Jacob Claesson, Evolution CEO for North America, said in a press release on Tuesday:
”Whilst our online Video Poker is already live in Europe and other regions and doing very well indeed, this game has been designed with the US market very much in mind. As such, we are expecting it to make a big impact with an online audience right across North America. Also, with the highest RTP (Return To Player) of all our Poker games, we have found that the game is incredibly effective in attracting new players.
“What’s fascinating is that Video Poker was originally such a massive hit back in the day on gaming terminals. Now we’ve completely reinvigorated the game for the 21st century. Our First Person RNG version of this game faithfully brings that retro gaming experience into the modern age. And then we have our live version, which brings a live dealer and real-time gameplay to the table and adds an exciting new dimension to the fun.”
The new video poker game gives players the opportunity to play up to 100 hands at once and choose from five paytables.
Crazy Coin Flip’s arrival six months in the making
As for Crazy Coin Flip, Evolution said in December both it and Super Sic Bo would be coming to the Keystone State. While Super Sic Bo launched almost immediately, it took around six months for platforms to offer Crazy Coin Flip. Here are some operators offering the new game:
- DraftKings
- FanDuel
- Caesars
- BetRivers
Claesson said in December:
“Evolution revolutionized the live casino market worldwide by creating the live game shows category with Dream Catcher 2017, and following it up with many more innovative and entertaining game show titles over the years. Crazy Coin Flip is a unique first – an innovative live slot game that builds in the live game show experience, and we are so excited to bring it to our US audience for the first time.”
Evolution adding multiple games to library
Evolution has been stepping up its game as of late, adding several new titles for Pennsylvania players to enjoy. Perhaps it is starting to feel the heat Playtech has provided.
In addition to Super Sic Bo and Crazy Coin Flip, Evolution has added other games since 2023, including Lightning Roulette and Football Studio.
Evolution has offered game show titles, such as the ones above, in an attempt to change the landscape of live dealer games. Players have shown a liking to games that are more complex and deliver generous bonuses.
Live dealer games have been a huge success in Pennsylvania, as they account for more than 50% of table games revenue during FY 2023/2024.
The vertical appears to be in good shape, as more games seem to be released on a regular basis to keep options fresh for players.
