Eagles vs. Cowboys Week 16 betting insight

The Eagles’ Week 6 win over the Cowboys’ was Live! Casino Philadelphia’s biggest game of the season in terms of handle.

On Christmas Eve, Sports Social at Live! is offering up $5 Bud Light specials, halftime contests with signed memorabilia and swag. Even with the specials and hype surrounding the biggest game of the season for the Eagles, Cody Manmiller Assistant Manager, FanDuel Sportsbook at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is not expecting this game to do great numbers in handle.

“Despite this being probably the single most important game of the year for a variety of reasons, I just believe the combination of Christmas Eve with so many people spending the weekend with their families and some pretty unruly weather, I don’t expect this weekend to rival some of our record weekends we’ve had this season,” Manmiller said.

With Gardner Minshew starting for the Eagles, it won’t change how many wagers Live! takes in too much.

“I don’t think the action will change in a significant way,” Manmiller said. “In a vacuum, maybe we’ll see a slight downturn in handle from our casual Eagles fans/bettors, but the experienced gamblers will still be wagering – whether they’ve changed sides or not. I think a lot of gamblers believe there is a ton of opportunity when a starting QB is out, whether they think the team with the backup will struggle significantly, or that public opinion (and the spread) swings so much that the team is now undervalued.”

Manmiller shared when the news broke that Hurts suffered a sprained shoulder, one customer arrived with a five-digit wager on the Cowboys as the line began moving.
