The Philadelphia Eagles‘ list of injuries and detractors isn’t the only thing that is growing. The Eagles added another familiar sportsbook name to their roster.
They announced a new multiyear deal with DraftKings on Wednesday that will make them the official daily fantasy sports partner and official sports betting partner of the Eagles.
DraftKings scores field club naming rights
What’s the playbook for the new agreement?
DraftKings gets exclusive naming rights to the field club at Lincoln Financial Field. Currently, the Eagles have not announced plans to host fans at home games this season. The premium lounge, called the DraftKings Field Club, will be available to ticketed guests. It is being called “a true VIP experience.”
Some features of the lounge are exclusive game-day access featuring an on-field viewing area in the north end zone and hospitality arrangements in the private club space.
Ezra Kucharz, chief business officer, DraftKings commented:
“Philadelphia is home to some of the most passionate football fans, and we could not be more excited to join forces with the Eagles. Be it fans at home, on the DraftKings mobile app or inside Lincoln Financial Field, we look forward to introducing Eagles fans and DraftKings customers alike to an all-encompassing DraftKings experience.”
DraftKings on- and off-field presence
Even though fans aren’t at the Linc (yet), DraftKings will make its presence known outside of in-game branding. DraftKings branding will be integrated throughout the Eagles’ social media channels, practice livestreams and Eagles-affiliated broadcasts. Also, it will have sponsorship activations included in the team’s annual NFL Draft Party.
Eagles Stat Showdown, a new free-to-play game from DraftKings, gives fans the opportunity to win weekly prizes throughout the NFL season.
Catherine Carlson, senior vice president of revenue and strategy for the Philadelphia Eagles, said:
“Our partnership with DraftKings presents many new and exciting opportunities that will help drive the fan experience at Lincoln Financial Field to the next level. We look forward to a successful future with DraftKings and showcasing the value of our shared vision in fun and engaging ways for our fans.”
