Charles Schwab Classic brings golf back to the fore

It starts tomorrow.

The PGA Tour makes its return in Fort Worth, Texas June 11 with the Charles Schwab Classic at Colonial Country Club. Golf fans and sports bettors who have been missing the action for three months will finally get four straight days of it.

And DraftKings Sportsbook PA is offering a number of promotions to help make everything even better.

Earn $2 toward a free bet for every stroke under par

The first DraftKings promo involves pre-match bets on golfers picked to win. Bettors who opt in and place a $25 or more pre-tournament wager on a golfer to win will receive $2 toward a Free Bet for every stroke a user’s player finishes under par for the tournament.

For example, if the player finishes -10, the user will receive a $20 Free Bet. Considering the Colonial Country Club has often featured winners who are double-digit strokes under par, the return could be a valuable hedge. The offer expires at 7:50 a.m. EST Thursday.

Live betting can earn a $20 bonus

DraftKings’ next promotion features live bets made during the tournament. Players who opt in and place $20 or more of live bets on the tournament will get a free $20 live bet to use during the event. Users can place multiple bets to reach their qualifying total, but can only qualify for the bonus once per round. Live bets must also be made on outcomes with -250 odds or longer.

Bettors can also receive another valuable boost based on whether the winner of the tournament will finish with an odd or even score. Players who opt in to that wager will receive 5-1 odds even though they have a 50-percent chance of making the correct wager.

Site-wide bonus also available for new DraftKings users

In addition, those who are new to DraftKings Sportsbook can take advantage of a $1,000 sitewide bonus available via a $500 risk-free bet and a $500 deposit bonus. This offer is actually $1,025 if you sign up to DraftKings through our links, as you’ll receive an extra $25 free no deposit needed offer on top.

However, in order to receive the maximum bonus, there are some play-through requirements and minimum deposits required.

Big-name golfers in Charles Schwab Classic field

In addition to all the promotions available, this weekend’s tournament also figures to provide some very good golf action as well. The world’s top-five ranked golfers are all in the field, including No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who is the favorite across PA betting apps.

McIlroy is +950 to win the tournament at DraftKings and +900 at BetRivers/PlaySugarHouse, revealing some differing price points that should encourage comparison shopping. Jon Rahm is +1150 and Justin Thomas is +1450 at DraftKings. Webb Simpson (+2200), Bryson Dechambeau (+2500), and Brooks Koepka (+2500) follow behind them.

Pricing is available on the entire field, as well as wagers on finishing in the top 5, top 10, making/missing the cut and a number of other options.

Daily fantasy players can also find an assortment of contests at FanDuel and DraftKings, including a Millionaire Maker at DraftKings that also pays out a $200k Low Round Bonus.

Golf action will be broadcast on the Golf Channel and CBS

It all starts tomorrow.

The first players will tee off at about 8 a.m. Live television coverage of the Charles Schwab Classic will begin Thursday at 4 p.m. on the Golf Channel and move to CBS later in the weekend.

For golf fans and sports bettors, the wait is finally over.

The action is about to begin.

And with DraftKings’ help, there’s a whole lot more of it.
