The Narberth native bought into an Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em game for $300, and then magic ensued. Mitchell was dealt a royal flush to win nearly $1 million.
He risked it all, going all-in on the final bet. Mitchell now has life-changing money at his disposal after breaking a record in Live! Casino Philadelphia’s short existence.
Other large jackpots from PA casino games
Live! Casino Philadelphia paid out large jackpots late in 2022. In another game of Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, a male patron hit for $70,414 playing against the dealer. Another casino player won $103,516 on Sept. 17, while one took home $31,249 on Lock It Link Nightlife on Oct. 11.
At the Live! Casino Pittsburgh location, a customer also won $356,911 back on Oct. 5.
BetMGM online casino jackpot winner earns $1 million
The latest large jackpot winner came in April, when a BetMGM Casino player won $1 million on a $1 slot bet.
The player won the jackpot playing an exclusive MGM Grand Millions slot title, a game that is only available on BetMGM platforms.
The winning player donated a portion of the earnings to St. Jude’s and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Though $1 million is a large price to pay, BetMGM expressed happiness for the winning player, which ultimately drives more casino gaming.
